Auto Text Anchors
It creates Text Anchors from any text which has the Character Style TextAnchor applied to it. It then spits out a text box with all those TextAnchor names in it, and links each one to your newly created TextAnchors, allowing you to quickly create an index without needing to manually link each heading/chapter etc. See a quick explanation video below…
TableSlayer
The next Script is TableSlayer for InDesign.
The TableSlayer script (created with help from Gemini) for InDesign is now available as a Pay As You Like.
The script scans your InDesign doc and finds tables with the same column widths, which it then puts into groups. Then you can apply the following to your group:
- Change column widths (doing so spaces out or subtracts from other columns unless you lock them first)
- Change column text
- Adjust the table width to a fixed dimension or fit it to the text box width (lock a column so the width isn’t affected)
- Add and delete columns (with editable column header text)
- Make character styles for each individual column heading (handy for language version adjustments such as individual kerning or font size)
- Create and/or apply existing Table and Cell styles (for header and body cell)
